ART BY SKORYX
Hello! My name is Skoryx and I am a biologist, graduate student, bird enthusiast, and freelance artist. This website is for viewing my portfolio and commission options.
For ease of navigation, I have my commission options split into five sections:
- Digital art (regular)
- Digital art (other)
- Traditional art
- Reference sheets
- Badges
I am currently busy with school and I don't anticipate on reopening commissions for a while.

About Skoryx

MEET THE ARTIST
Skoryx is my alias/mascot for my online art presence. I have a full-time job as a chemist, but I like to draw cartoons and animals in my spare time. With my busy schedule, I try to spend one or two days a week working on art.
I started digitally drawing in 2011 and I primarily draw in Paint Tool Sai 2 with an XP-Pen 24" tablet. Since 2014, I have been offering digital commissions. I opened my Etsy shop in 2016 to sell handmade artwork and started tabling at conventions in 2023.Previous conventions:
Tails and Tornadoes 2023 (artist alley)
AnthroExpo 2024 (Artist Alley)
Upcoming conventions:
Tails and Torandoes 2024 (Saturday Artist Alley)
I have a variety of hobbies and interests, including birdwatching, fishkeeping, hiking, taxidermy, rhythm games, and spicy food. I have a Bachelor's in Biology and hope to pursue graduate studies to become an ornithologist soon.I love talking to new people and want to meet others who share my interests. Feel free to talk to me about anything bird or biology-related!

Terms of Service

By commissioning me, you agree to have read and understood my Terms of Service written below. This covers what I will/will not draw, how I handle payment and refunds, and how you can use my artwork once finished. Please read carefully and contact me if you have any questions.

General rules

  • Clients under 18 are OK! You must be 18+ to commission any gore or NSFW works.

  • Tracing, copying, stealing, or selling my work is not allowed. Use for AI training or NFTs is not allowed. Referencing is okay with permission and credit.

  • All works are watermarked, but watermarks can be removed upon request.

  • You can use the artwork in almost any way you wish. You can repost it, print it out, get it tattooed, whatever you'd like, but don't resell my artwork or claim it's yours.

  • I have the right to refuse any commission request for any reason.

What can I draw?

  • Humans/humanoids

  • Animals

  • Anthros/furries

  • Original characters

  • Fandom characters

  • Simple and detailed backgrounds

  • Soft NSFW (Nudity and suggestive themes)

  • Hard NSFW (anything considered pornography)

  • Anything considered mature/adult

  • Weapons/props

  • Various kinks/fetishes (please ask)

  • Large muscles

  • Robots, cars, machinery

  • Gore, morbid themes

  • Perspective-heavy works

  • Complex mecha/complex weapons

  • Any topics related, but not limited to: scat, vomit, vore, feet, diapers, babyfurs, cub, or feral NSFW.

If there's anything here I didn't mention, feel free to ask me about it.I want to mention that I do not draw NSFW art very often. As someone who identifies as asexual, I don't find the same enjoyment in erotic art as others might. Please keep this in mind if you are requesting such artwork from me.

Ordering process

  • Are you interested in getting art from me? Please reach out to me at any of my listed contact options or check out my "order form" link at the top of my website.

  • Send references of your character(s) and anything else that will help me visualize what you're wanting. References can be visual or text-based, but text descriptions should be concise.

  • Payment is required upfront, either in full or partial payment.

  • Turnaround times are variable. Generally, I try to finish smaller pieces ($10-$50) within two weeks and larger pieces ($75+) within a month. Please check my art queue on Trello for updates, or ask me for an estimated turnaround time.

  • When an art piece is finished, I may post it on my social media. Upon request, I can keep your commissions private.

  • You may post the completed artwork anywhere you'd like. No credit to me is needed, but do not claim it as your own.

  • Minor edits (e.g. changing poses during the sketch phase, changing colors during the coloring phase, adding glasses at the end, etc.) during the working process are usually free. Major edits (e.g. redrawing a character, changing poses during the coloring phase, changing outfits, etc.) made during or after the commission is completed are subject to fees.

  • Edits can be made to pieces up to a year after completion. After that, original work files may be deleted, making edits difficult.

Payment

  • Before starting a commission, payment must be made partially or in full. Finished commissions will not be released until all funds are paid.

  • Paypal is my preferred method of payment. I can also accept payment through Venmo and Cashapp.

  • Full refunds can be requested and given at any time at or before the rough sketch stage. Partial refunds will be given during any later stages.

  • I will issue a full refund if I cannot complete a commission.

  • No refunds are given after a piece is completed, but I will try my best to correct things if you are unhappy with something.

  • Quotes are free! Please contact me if you're not sure how much something will be.

This is my digital portfolio, showcasing some of my favorite works and showing how my art style has progressed over the years! I used to post everything I created to DeviantArt. For a while, that site housed my portfolio, but I have since left the site. It is difficult to represent a whole year with just a few images out of hundreds I may have created, and it doesn't represent every aspect of my career as an artist.I haven't found a good alternative to DeviantArt to showcase all of my work, so for the time being, I tried to pick out some of my favorite pieces from each year. There are a lot of images on this page, so please be patient while they load.

2024
I attended my second artist alley at AnEx. I also bought tons of new traditional art supplies, including hundreds of Copics and Posca pens!

2023
This was a great year! I participated in Art Fight, had my first artist alley table, tried Copic markers for the first time, and offered sketchpages as a new commission option. I also created a fursuit!

2022
I didn't draw nearly as much since I was busy with my senior year of college, but I found inspiration in nature and biology to fuel some of my art.

2021
Not a super productive year since I was busy working two jobs and was super depressed, but I cranked out a few things!

2020
Not the most productive year since I was battling depression and mitigating COVID while still in school.

2019
I was pretty busy with school but found time to draw occasionally!

2018
I introduced my "doodley" art style to the world!

2017
A great year for creating art! Unfortunately, I continued to underprice my work and wound up taking on a project with 42 raccoons at $5 a fullbody.

2016
To celebrate hitting 2,000 watchers on DeviantArt, I took over 100 free art requests. Later that year, I opened my Etsy shop and began selling physical art like buttons, stickers, and badges.

2015
I dabbled with some new software and learned to use Emofuri. I also made several models in MMD.

2014
I offered commissions for the first time on DeviantArt! I also learned how to do pixel art. When I hit 1,000 watchers on Deviantart, I offered 100 free chibis/pixel dolls/busts to celebrate.

2013
Switched from Sumo Paint to Paint Tool Sai. I finally learned what layers were!

2012 and before
I got my first drawing tablet in 2011 and started drawing in MS Paint, later switching to Sumo Paint. I also worked off of a lot of bases.
